This website is primarily for the use of the Staveley Community Speed Watch (SCSW) team. The site is however accessible to the general public. SCSW team members must sign in to access the specific CSW website facilities.
The site was developed by the SCSW team to assist with the administration of the watch session schedule and the logging of any offence data. The main features of the website for the watch team are:
- stores information about the watch sites, the watch team and the watch sessions,
- integrates with the Waymark plugin to display watch site markers on maps, including site descriptions and images,
- optionally automates the allocation of watch team members and site to ‘provisional’ watch dates according to watch team members stated availability on those dates,
- enables email notification of forthcoming watch sessions to the Community Speed Watch control office,
- enables email notification to each watch team member of their forthcoming watch session commitments, including attached ICAL files,
- displays forthcoming watch sessions in tables,
- enables automated email reminder notification to each watch team member before each watch session,
- logs any offences recorded at a watch session,
- enables email of watch session offence log as a CSV file to the Community Speed Watch control office for onward processing,
- displays watch session summary statistics in tables.
The SCSW is a Staveley and Copgrove Parish Council initiative in conjunction with North Yorkshire Police.
